Technical Mountain Bike Leader Training Course (19th to 21st June - 2 ½ days)

This training only course is designed to acquire and enhance knowledge of topics such as:-
• Ride preparation
• Roles of a leader
• Equipment
• Route planning
• Group management techniques and skills
• Dealing with emergencies
• Trailside repairs
• Navigation

Aimed at already practicing and potential mountain bike leaders this course delivers a very high standard of training recognised by AALA (Adventure Activities Licensing Authority), the UK cycle industry, employers, LEA`s and the public alike. The course duration is 24 hrs tuition run over a Monday evening, Tuesday and Wednesday. Course delivery aims to be fun as well as informative utilising different styles of presentation and hands on practical sessions to suit everyone's needs.

All course participants will receive a CD-Rom (or manual if requested) containing:-
• Extensive course notes.
• A log book .
• Riding Proficiency Expectations information.
• Technical Leader Assessment Criteria
• Candidate support network information
