Technical Leader Pre-assessment Interview - (22nd June – 1 day)

This course is aimed at participants with considerable mountain bike leading experience who wish to fast-track through the OTC Mountain bike Leader Training scheme. Designed to enhance knowledge of mountain biking leading, the Pre Assessment Interview identifies the abilities, needs and desires of candidates, and develops a realistic action plan for the candidate to try to achieve them. Often run in conjunction with a Technical Leader assessment, the Pre-Assessment Interview enables participants to observe the high standard required by the scheme.

Course overview:

• Explanation of the Awards Scheme
• Review of candidates experience and prior achievement
• Opportunity to observe or quantify assessment requirements.
• Leading and riding skill guidance within the context of mountain biking.

All participants will receive a CD Rom or manual containing information about the award scheme, Assessment Criteria appropriate to outcome objectives, Logbook and personal action plan.
