What’s Happening

This year AlpSun is teaming up with OTC Training to provide a week of guided rides and certified Mountain Bike Leader Training and Assessment Courses. Come along and see what a great riding area this is...not to mention all the other activities on our doorstep.

Whether it’s to discover the local single track, enrol on an OTC Mountain Bike Leader Course, take an Alpine break with friends and family, or a combination of these – THE CHOICE IS YOURS. You decide what you do, where you want to stay and how long for, and we’ll do the rest – except push you up the hills!

Venue:

The week will be based at Les Vigneaux in the Vallouise valley (click here for a high-level map of the area). All accommodation provided will be at or close to the AlpSun base in Les Vigneaux too.

Rides:

The Vallouise valley and Brianconnais provide some of the best single-track around. With the local weather systems boasting little rain you’re very unlikely to need a bike wash! (Check out the Col De Granon and the 51 switchbacks article here) We’ve been riding out here for four years and have still only scratched the surface. Come over to our back yard and we’ll take you round some of our favourite rides.

Interested in becoming a mountain bike guide? Fed up with the UK weather? Why not do your training or assessment course over here – with 300 days of sunshine a year and great riding terrain what’s your excuse? OTC has over 10 years experience in providing professional mountain bike training courses in the UK and across Europe.

How much will it cost?

Guided Rides: free of charge (free transport provided subject to maximum numbers on a first come, first served basis)

OTC courses:

Technical Leader Training Course £195
Technical Leader Assessment Course £135
Pre-assessment Interview Course £135

Accommodation (provided by AlpSun):

B&B plus self-catering £18 per night (Shared room) in apartment
Apartment for 4 people – from £139 per week
